Englandfans started off the match the much brighter side and raced into a 3-0 lead before the half hour mark, with Jason Harris scoring the first goal, Michael Doyle scoring the second before Harris added to his tally with a third.

Frickley fans looked dead and gone, but out of nowhere Allan Howcroft hit a superb 40 yard strike into the top corner to pull a goal back for Frickley fans, making the score 3-1 to Englandfans FC at the break.

In the second half, Frickley fans started getting into the game more and pulled another goal back after the hour mark. Simon Hartshorn hitting a volley from a corner and making the score 3-2.

Englandfans FC then looked to have won the game. Jason Harris managing to pick up the ball in his own half and skipping around Frickley fans keeper Jon Hood, to complete his hat-trick and making the score 4-2 to Englandfans FC.

However with 15 mins to go, Adrian Ward found himself some space in the 18 yard box, to pull another goal back for Frickley fans, to reduce the score down to 4-3.

Howcroft then grabbed the equaliser, and his 2nd if the game, in the last minute, racing into the box to dink the ball in off the post to bring the score to 4-4 and send the game into a penalty shoot out.

After both teams took their first 5 penalties, the score was 3-3. With Allan Howcroft, Simon Hartshorn and Lee Stratford all scoring from their kicks. But Tom Grindel had his saved, with Frickley Athletic manager, Karl Rose also missing his for Frickley fans.

Ethel Naylor and James West both scored the next two penalties for Frickley fans, with Richard Butler and Rob Russell scoring the next two for Englandfans FC.

Penalty number 8, saw Frickley fans keeper Jon Hood score his, but the decisive penalty save, saw Hood saving Jason Harris' penalty, giving Frickley fans a 6-5 penalty victory over Englandfans FC.

In the clubhouse after the game, Englandfans manager Garford Beck, presented the Frickley redevelopment fund trophy to Frickley fans manger Chad Thomas, to cap off a 3 match series.
The match itself raised £575 towards the Frickley redevelopment fund. Frickley Athletic would like to thank both Chad and Garford for the last 3 years, which as seen them both raised nearly £2000 towards the redevelopment fund in total over the 3 matches and wish Englandfans FC all the best in future matches that they take part in.
