Read on good people

This was a well attended meeting, with around 40 fans in attendance as well as 6 members of the Board. The club would like to thank everyone who attended.

Ryan gave a brief introduction then the Forum was thrown open to questions.

When questioned as to why they had chosen to come to, & invest in, Frickley Ryan said that they had been looking for a community club, with a long history which needed financial support - support in terms of investment as opposed to debt coverage. They weren’t interested in any club that had existing debt as their investment would simply offset the debts & not help in actually driving the club forward.

Another question was asked about whether they had chosen the club as it was vulnerable due to relegation - it was clarified that this was not the case. Ryan briefly touched on his involvement with Stockport who could have gone out of business had it not been for their investment. This was definitely not the case at Frickley.

A discussion took place about Board activity regarding investment, both for the future & over the latter end of the 16/17 season.

A query about who has access to the Supporters Club bank account - 3 people are currently on the mandate to access the bank account, but 2 of those people wish to be removed from the mandate, which would leave Michael Johnson as the only person still on the mandate. This does not make the account vulnerable as 2 signatories are required to withdraw or transfer money from the account. This does not affect payments into the account. More signatories are required for the mandate for it to be fully active in the forthcoming season (the supporters club has a completely separate bank account from the football club).

Ryan & Spencer then gave an overview on their previous involvement at Stockport & East Stirling - from a financial & managerial point of view.

Spencer gave a briefing on his hopes for pre-season, player preparation & the type & calibre of player that he was trying to attract & aspirations for the forthcoming season.

There was a question about the North of England Football Academy (NEFA), where Ryan & Spencer have connections, & whether Frickley would become a feeder for NEFA. Assurances were given that this was not the case.

Ryan & Spencer said that they needed everyone - fans, players & Board - to get behind what they were trying to do at the club.

There was a query about the clubs commercial coverage - Barry Johnson is currently taking on responsibility for advertising in the programme & perimeter advertising in the ground.

Spencer then gave details of his previous experience - both in management & football.

Several local discussions took place & the meeting ended.
