The point means the Blues need to take a least a point from Saturday's home game against Curzon Ashton to be sure of avoiding relegation, although should Marine not win at Blyth Spartans the Blues will be safe anyway.
Luke Hinsley returned to the side after suspension whilst Macaulay Parkinson came in at right full back and Jake Stannard into the midfield.
The Blues had strong claims for a penalty waved away just before half time and then took the game to their hosts for much of the second half, almost snatching a win at the death when Brad Dockerty saw his shot from a tight angle deflected against the outside of the post by the goalkeeper.
