Today's match was always going to be a tough one with both teams needing to take all 3 points to strengthen their chance of winning.
Dunscroft started the strongest of the 2 teams and dominated much of the play. The deadlock was broken when lady luck shone on Dunscroft after Nathan Hopson was sharp off his line and made a fantastic save which saw the ball bounce back off the Dunscroft striker into the goal who knew little of it. Dunscroft's 2nd came after more pressure and a well taken goal.
The old cliche 'its a game of 2 halves' was never more so apparent in this match when in the second half Frickley dominated most of the play and their goal came from a well worked short corner between Will Harrison and Dawson Stenton who delivered a great ball into the box which saw Louis rocket home the ball to get on the goal sheet. With 20 minutes left to play Frickley were always threatening to get a second but Dunscroft defended well enough to keep them out and take all 3 points.
A well fought game with both sets of players deserving the plaudits and the praise they received.
