AFC Fylde 3-2 Frickley Athletic
Fylde nicked the spoils with a strike in the last seconds of stoppage time to rob Frickley of a deserved point.
Jamie Green did well to smother an 18 yard shot from Sean Cooke as the home side sought an early advantage in the 15th minute, while Jamie Wootton won the ball on the right and found Danny Walsh whose first time 25 yard drive whistled inches wide of the Fylde goal.
Wootton robbed Glen Steel on the right of the penalty area in the 24th minute, but goalkeeper Ben Hinchliff darted out to block his shot, and Wootton rattled the bar with a shot on the turn seven minutes later.
The Blues were rewarded in the 38th minute when Jake Picton crossed from the left and Luke Hinsley knocked the ball down for Chris Wood to turn and lift it into the top corner of the net.
Michael Barnes equalised for Fylde three minutes later, beating Green with a low 25 yard drive and, in the third minute of stoppage time, James McCarthy headed them in front after a corner kick from the right.
Frickley resumed strongly, Picton picking out Wootton whose fierce shot was turned round a post by Hinchliffe, and Wood put a low shot just off target in the 62nd minute.
Walsh lost out to Barnes two minutes later, but Green came out to block his 25 yard drive and Walsh recovered to clear.
After Wood had lifted a shot just over in the 72nd minute, Frickley got on terms two minutes later, Luke Hinsley whipping in a cross from the right which Wootton flicked on for Jason Yates to find the net.
Needing three points to keep their play-off hopes alive, Fylde finished at a gallop, Green going full stretch to push away a shot by Adam Farrell in the 90th minute, while Cooke curled a 20 yard shot which landed on top of the bar.
The Blues thought they had survived but, in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Farrell raced on to a long ball to stab a shot past Green from 15 yards.
