Health and Safety Policy

General Statement

Fry Club Netball is committed to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of players (senior and junior), coaches, management staff and spectators at training events and matches.

This policy statement applies to all members of Fry Club Netball.

Culture, Core Values and Behaviour

Fry Club Netball Members are expected to

• Take personal responsibility for the safety of themselves and fellow club members
• Comply with Fry Club Netball policies and procedures
• Always wear the correct clothing and shoes to undertake matches and training
• Report unsafe situations and events at matches and training
• Take the opportunity to learn from events and take appropriate action to prevent any recurrences

Goals and Targets

Our goal is to achieve zero accidents. All members are encouraged to achieve zero accidents and to assist other members in achieving this goal. Health and Safety will be an agenda item on all formal meetings.

Risk Assessment

All Fry Club Netball activities are assessed for risk before they commence.

Organising for Health and Safety

Fry Club Netball coaches are trained to be competent in carrying out their duties. Suitable first aid, welfare and emergency procedures are in place. All equipment and materials are used, stored and transported in a safe manner. Club members under the age of 16 are supervised at all times.
