NEW SEASON STARTS 2ND SEPTEMBER 2012!
Welcome to the Fullerians U10 Squad
PLAYERS
This squad welcomes children who turn 10 before September 2013, which effectively means children in school Year 5.
We are always looking for new members. Please feel free to turn up to any session & introduce yourself to a coach. You can try three sessions before committing to the squad, but after that we ask that you register & pay subs. You will also need to buy the kit (available from the clubhouse).
*GUMSHIELDS ARE REQUIRED AT EVERY SESSION*
You will not be able to play without one.
You will not be able to play without one.
TIMING
Training takes place every Sunday morning from 10am til noon. Training finishes with a quick debrief. Your thoughts, comments & feedback are always welcome.
LOCATION
The U10s are on the second half of the first pitch, as you enter the Club grounds.
FIXTURES
All matches & festival details are listed on this webpage under the Fixtures tab.
REGISTRATION
This is a requirement of the Club & needs to be done within the first three weeks of the season. Hopefully you will have received your registration form by email. Please complete & return it, with payment, to the clubhouse by 23rd September 2012. Details of subs & registration form can be downloaded by following the Club Info tab on the club homepage, under documents.
Please ensure you have given your email details to the head coach so you can receive communications regarding team selection & other matters.
RFU LAWS
It is our aim that children have fun at Fullerians and enjoy the wonderful sport of Mini Rugby. We follow the age-specific guidelines set down by the RFU: last year the squad had a gentle introduction to contact, so we will be continuing to develop their rucking & mauling skills, with the added introduction of contested lineouts & scrums. Teams are 9-a-side with a size 4 ball.
PARENTS' INFO
During the season each team is asked in turn to help with kitchen & car parking duties. These are not onerous tasks & it would be greatly appreciated if you could make yourself available promptly to the person organising the rota when our turn comes around (usually only twice a season).
We are keen to encourage the social side of the team and are always delighted if you able to join us for a drink after training in the Clubhouse. From time to time, the coaches might suggest an evening in a local pub, and we very much encourage parents to support the Club's annual Ball (held in the Spring).
