Fullerians Under 9s Web Page
Welcome to the web page of Fullerians RFC Under 9 Squad.
We train and play on Sunday mornings from 10.00am until 11.30am.
This Squad is for children who turn 9 years old after the beginning of September 2012. Usually, but not always, this means primary school Year 4.
We play under the newly introduced rules for Under 9s, geared around very limited contact, and a gentle introduction to rugby for younger children, i.e. tackling, but no scrummaging, rucking or mauling.
At Fullers U9s, we are passionate about what we do, but what we do is not about winning matches at all costs. Our goal is to bring children into the wonderful world of Mini Rugby, and to allow them to experience the discipline, fellowship, fun and excitement to be had.
Every child has a place in Mini Rugby.
Getting to the rules, you can bring your child to three training sessions before committing to joining the Squad, after which you will have to pay the subs and buy the kit.
A gum shield will be required from the outset, though. That's important!
The new season starts on Sunday 2nd September 2012, but children can join any time. If your child would like to try out, please contact Bev - contact details below.
