The rugby season will be starting on 2nd September 2018 and we very much hope your child will be joining us. The sessions will run from 10am-11.30am and the U6s will be training on the pitch directly infront of the clubhouse. Your child must be going into Year 1 in September 2018 in order to join the U6s.
For season 2018/19 we will again be following the RFU Age Grade Rules for U6’s Tag Rugby. We train every Sunday and we also arrange to hold joint training sessions with other clubs both home and away across Hertfordshire. These training sessions comprise warm-ups, fitness activities, ball handling skills and match practice. Children are allowed to attend 3 training sessions to see whether they enjoy tag rugby, before we expect them to join the club and pay the membership fees.
For the first couple of weeks it is fine for the children to wear their own sports clothes however Beat School uniforms who are our kit suppliers will be down every week in September selling the full kit for those who wish to purchase. If you need guidance on what to purchase, please let us know. If the weather is cold please ensure the kids are wrapped up warmly and dressed in layers with hats and gloves. Trainers or boots are fine to start with. Please ensure your child has a drink with them for the sessions.
We are fortunate to have Rick Mcconnell as Head Coach this coming season. If you have any questions for Rick please don’t hesitate to contact him via email email@example.com or on 07769 357 488.
The club relies on volunteers and all coaches and admin for all teams are made up of parents. If you would be interested in helping coaching or taking on some admin work please do let me know. All our coaches are fully DBS checked and hold a RFU qualification to ensure a consistently high quality of coaching that always places enjoyment and safety first. Most of our coaches began by deciding to get involved, rather than watching from the side lines, and we always encourage parental involvement be it as coaches, first-aiders, referees or just vocal support!
In the interests of safety and appropriate behaviour, we ask that parents or another responsible adult remain at pitch side at all times during the training sessions/matches

If you fancy getitng involved before September, we will be running FREE fitness and fun sessions over the summer holidays at the club starting on Tuesday 24th July between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. These sessions are open to any children who will be starting the U6s in September along with their older siblings. There will be a little bit of rugby but the emphasis will be on keeping fit and having fun at the same time. Parents are expected to stay on-site during these sessions.
We look forward to seeing you and please don’t hesitate to tell others about what we have to offer, all boys and girls are very welcome.
