Garforth lost their first home game of the season against a good Liversedge side, who were helped by some indecision in defence from the Miners.
Mitch Hamilton scored within six minutes of his return to the club, but Garforth had enough chances to be in front at half time.
Toby Wells conceded a penalty shortly after the break and from then on, Town were always chasing the game.
Garforths' goals came from Devonte Morton and a late penalty by Curtly Martin-Wyatt, but were too little, too late.
