Match preview - Garforth make the short journey to 2inspire Park for tomorrow's local derby (kick-off 3pm).

Town's run of three wins away from home ended with a whimper on Tuesday after the disastrous defeat to Nostell. So far in 2014 there's been little to cheer for the Garforth faithful, a brave 1-1 draw with Albion last weekend the only highlight. The poor run of form has also seen us slip to 14th in the table, with Long Eaton who've leapfrogged us, now four points ahead.

After racking up 20 goals in three games (against Lincoln Moorlands Rly twice, and Winterton) Tadcaster themselves were hammered 8-1 at Brighouse last Saturday, so with them having promotion aspirations this term will be looking to prove the result was just a blip. The Brewers currently stand in 2nd place, one point behind leaders Barton Town.

Both teams shared a point at Wheatley Park earlier in the season, a goalless draw on 24th August. Our last visit to Ings Lane was just over a year earlier, on 31st July 2012, the Brewers winning 1-0. The last competitive game there was back on 26th March 2005 which finished 2-2, Andy Rowan with both goals for the Miners.

It goes without saying that a much better performance than Tuesday will be needed to upset the form book tomorrow afternoon, although meetings in recent years have been closely contested affairs, suggesting a real "local derby factor". Can it be done? Why not come along, get behind the lads and find out - Up the Miners!

Away travel info here (no coach sadly for this one).
