Another local derby as we welcome Albion Sports to Wheatley Park tomorrow evening (kick-off 7:45pm).

Head coach Graham Nicholas will look for a more clinical display than that on Saturday to overcome our sixth-place opponents. Two new signings will also look to make an impact, defender Tim Robertson who returns to his hometown club, and striker Craig Tonkinson.

The Lions have recorded three victories and as many defeats so far this season, in a tough run of fixtures. Two of those defeats came in the last two games, but beforehand The Lions enjoyed decent wins over Retford (league) and Bridlington (FA Vase).

1-1 was the result in this fixture last season (1st February), a Josh Cartman penalty earning Garforth a point.

A special mention for Tawanda Rupere - should he take the field tomorrow it will be his 40th appearance in a Garforth shirt. A regular feature of the first 11 last season and this, "T" remains a crowd favourite with his flair and playmaking abilities.

Saturday's draw kept us in 14th place, but with there being little between positions 6th - 18th, 6th is achievable should we post our second win of the season. Up the Miners!
