Storm have had a mixed route to the cup final receiving a bye against a Cramlington Rockets side who were unable to raise a side after the initial fixture was postponed due to the weather.
The Storm then visited Durham Demons in one of the games of the season with storm edging it 16 - 22 with both sets of players exhausted come the end of the game.
Now storm have to meet Peterlee Pumas who they only played three weeks ago. Gateshead edged that game with a 16 - 26 win and will be looking to do the same again.
Gateshead Storms only absentee is Prop Jake Armstrong who is away on holiday.
Sam Stephenson and Mark McCallan will lock horns with the Pumas for the first time this season as they missed the earlier meeting due to holidays.
Peterlee will look to get their go forward from impressive loose forward Connor Drinkwater who captains the Pumas and Strong running second row Ross Brown.
Storm will be looking for leadership from their half back pairing of Alex leng and Ryan Jones with centres Joe smith-Millican and Adam Thornton looking to continue their impressive form
