Gateshead Storm NCL team just keep their winning run going down at Waterhead Warriors.

It's great to keep this run going but it's also credit to the lads in wanting to keep it going

Storm 1st team did there second double of the year when they beat Waterhead Warriors 44 -24 in a rain soaked game in which handling errors would cost one of the teams.

Storm started the game fast and took the lead within 4 mins through Andrew Morris who showed a clean pair of heels to go over further tries followed from Chris Parker Jr and big giant Stephen Welton with Zach Clarke kicking 2 goals to make the half time score 16 - 18 to Waterhead.

As the second half started the rain also stopped and this allowed storm to play by keeping hold of the ball and when Parker Jr and Morris got there second try's of the afternoon storm started to pull away both tries converted by the deadly boot of Clarke.

Not to be out done Clarke stepped up and done what he does best confusing everyone including is own team and when he beat two defenders to go over and score and convert is own try.

With the clock ticking down both James Pocklington and Alex Ruff would find themselves going over to finish off the game with Clarke kicking the last points in a storm 44 - 24 win.
