Following the withdrawal of Hindley from the competition, Thornhill contacted the NCL Management with a view to taking their place.
After following the usual vetting processes to ensure that the club meets the robust standards demanded by the NCL, the management recommended their inclusion to member clubs.
Member clubs have cast their vote, with a significant majority in favour of Thornhill’s inclusion in the competition.
Thornhill will start their campaign in Division Three, which commences in March 2015, with their second team entering the Yorkshire Men’s League.
“We are delighted to welcome Thornhill Trojans back into the National Conference League,” commented Trevor Hunt, NCL Chairman.
“They will be a welcome addition to the league and are clearly a popular club amongst the league membership.”
Fixtures for the 2015 competition will be publically released on Sunday December 15 as agreed with member clubs at their October delegates meeting.
