Gateshead MBC XV versus International XV
The picture shows Gateshead players ie from the Gateshead Clubs v an International XV. April 1979. The Stars sides was :D Caplan, J J Williams, S Fenwick, I McGeechan, R Gravell, P Bennett, M Young, C White, R Windsor, F McLoughlin, A Martin, A Tomes, R Lindores, S Bainbridge, R Uttley.
Neeedless to say we came second!!
There are four Gateshead Fell players on the picture. The only one of the other players I can't name is the guy 2nd form the right back row. I am sure he was a Blaydon player.

I was actually on the bench that game and came on for the International side just after half time when Dave Caplin went off with an injury.
Sorry Dave but the programme doesn't name the subs!
