30 Years Ago: 22nd August 1987

Geddington 1st Team had a Draw away at Whitworths. Whitworths batted first and made 140-9 off their 48 overs, there was three wickets each with the ball for Geddington from Kelvin Gingell (3-24), T Ginns (3-24) and D Barczewski (3-42). In reply, Geddington finished on 63-7 off their 42 overs, Jim Tebbutt (17) top-scored with the bat for the visitors.

15 Years Ago: 17th August 2002

Geddington 1st Team won by 2 wickets against Wellingborough Indians 1st Team at the Redwell Leisure Centre, Geddington reached their target with 8 wickets down in the 62nd over with just 3 overs left in the match when Nathan Dorrington (15*) hit the winning boundary for the visitors, Terry Cooper (39), David Goodjohn (38) and Steve Toseland (28) were also in the runs with the bat. Earlier, Wellingborough Indians were All Out for 153 in 34.4 overs, Cooper (5-61) took five wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also four wickets for Mark Toseland (4-45).
Meanwhile Geddington 2nd Team match against Sharnbrook 2nd Team at Geddington Cricket Club was cancelled due to the weather.

10 Years Ago: 18th August 2007

Lee Sutherland was the hero with the ball as he took six wickets with the ball for Geddington 1st Team in their 3 run victory away at Kettering Town 1st Team. Kettering Town were All Out for 172 in 24.3 overs after being 112-0, before Sutherland claimed figures of 6-34 for Geddington, Colin Judd (2-41) also took two wickets for the visitors. Earlier, Geddington finished on 165-9 off their 43 overs, Matt Knight (49) top-scored with the bat, Sutherland (44) was also in the runs for the visitors, Knight and Sutherland put on 65 for the 4th wicket partnership after being 55-3.
Geddington 2nd Team match at home to Brixworth 2nd Team was Abandoned due to the weather. Geddington were 90-6 off 34.4 overs when no more play was possible, Dave Shorthouse (22*) top-scored with the bat for the home side, Miles Knight (21) was also in the runs.

5 Years Ago: 18th August 2012

Geddington 1st Team won by 2 wickets away at Kettering Town 1st Team. Geddington reached their target with 1 ball left in the match and 8 wickets down, Stephen Ludlam (33*) and Colin Judd (10*) both finished unbeaten and guided Geddington to their victory target, Chris Murdoch (71) top-scored with a half-century for the visitors. Earlier, Kettering Town batted first and finished on 194-8 off their 50 overs, Judd (4-54) took four wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket each for Jamie Kay, Murdoch, Ryan Bell and Mark Neave.
Geddington 2nd Team defeated Grendon & Prims 1st Team by 5 wickets at Geddington Cricket Club, Geddington reached their target with 5 wickets down with 1 ball left in the match, David Goodjohn (56) top-scored with a half-century, Lee Sutherland (40) and Steve Toseland (33) were also in the runs with the bat for the home side, Goodjohn and Sutherland put on 71 for the 2nd wicket partnership. Earlier, Grendon & Prims batted first and made 186-8 off their 50 overs, Adam Sturgess (3-41) took three wickets with the ball for Geddington, Marcus Knight (2-44) also took two wickets and there was also a wicket for Mark Franklin (1-47).
Geddington 3rd Team were defeated by 5 wickets at home to Kettering Town 3rd Team. Geddington batted first and were All Out for 128 in 41.2 overs, Roger Paterson (27) and Mark Thomas (24) were the main run-scorers for the home side. In reply, Kettering reached their target of 128 with 5 wickets down in the 39th over. Phil Peel (2-23) and Glenn Bell (2-29) both took two wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket for Miles Knight (1-22).
