Geddington Sunday Team were defeated by 42 runs against Rushden Wanderers Sunday Team at Geddington Cricket Club in a Friendly on Sunday.
Rushden Wanderers batted first and made 219-5 off their 40 overs, Gary Small (52 Retired Not Out off 52 balls) and Tim Cooper (51 Retired Not Out) both scored half-centuries for the visitors, Ollie Bates (29) was also in the runs with the bat, Cooper, Small, William Paull and Andrew Houlden put on an unbeaten 119 for the 6th wicket partnership after being 100-5 early on in the innings. Bayes Day (2-10) took two wickets with the ball for Geddington, there was also a wicket each for Alex Rowden, Drew Peel and Cole McWilliam.
In reply, Geddington were 95-6 after Andrew Houlden (3-21) took a hat-trick with the ball for Rushden Wanderers, there was also a wicket each for Small, Matthew Wildman and Ben Paull.
