The top four teams in the table all secured excellent away wins. BARROW TOWN remain at the pinnacle following their 4-0 success at ARNOLD TOWN where Aiden Black gave them a 20th minute lead and Francis Finnemore doubled it just before the break. Goals in the last ten minutes from Ben Law and Luke Winfield completed the win.

WEST BRIDGFORD went one better with a 6-0 win at bottom rungers ELLISTOWN & IBSTOCK UNITED. Tom Coole’s goal on half an hour broke the deadlock and was the only one of the first half. Five goals in the last fifteen minutes gave the final score a one-sided look. Jurgan Charlesworth started the avalanche, Ryan Plummer got into the act, Tom Coole scored his second of the game and Kevin Spriggs and Gareth Bentley completed the scoring in the last ten minutes.

BORROWASH VICTORIA also scored four on their travels, but their win at RADCLIFFE OLYMPIC was not quite so easy. Jordan Kelly gave them the lead after just five minutes, but the teams went in at the break level thanks to Sam Adams’ goal right on the stroke of half time. Immediately upon the restart Scott James put the Vics back in front, and two goals in a minute from Dan Rowley and Brandon Gwinnutt put the Derby side well in control. Paul Durham reduced the deficit for Olympic on 58 minutes and Sam Adams second goal of the game two minutes before the end set up a grandstand finish. But the Vics held out to win 4-3.

Goals were not nearly so hard to come by at HOLWELL SPORTS, and it was a late, late strike from Mason Brown, three minutes from the end, which saw visitors AYLESTONE PARK claim the points and remain one of three unbeaten teams in the league along with West Bridgford and Borrowash Victoria. The win saw Park climb to third in the table.

Elsewhere, BELPER UNITED gained their first win of the season, and their first as a Step 6 club through Liam Oliver’s 77th minute goal in their home game with GEDLING MINERS WELFARE.

And DUNKIRK claim a spot higher in the table thanks to their 3-2 home win over ASHBY IVANHOE. Ryan Baldwin put the Boatmen ahead, but within a short time Dan Quinn had levelled. Bruno Holden gave the home side their lead back midway through the second half and Sam Grouse made it 3-1 in the 88th minute. Royce Turville pulled one back right at the death but Dunkirk held on for the points.

SOUTH NORMANTON ATHLETIC edged a five goal thriller against BLABY & WHETSTONE ATHLETIC at Lees Lane. Luke Crosby put the Shiners in front after just ten minutes, but Rikke Bates had restored parity before the break. Tom Lewis fired Athletic back in front eight minutes into the second half, but the lead lasted just three minutes before Tom Hill squared things up for a second time. Crosby’s second of the game in the 73rd minute proved to be the winner.

KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE enjoyed a 4-1 success over STAPENHILL at the Stag with Tom Dale, Adam Hassall and a brace from Alex Marshall, opening up a four goal advantage for the home side after the first half had finished goal-less. Steve Hart got a late consolation for Stapenhill to take his tally of goals to ten in just eight days,

The other two games both ended in draws. At BIRSTALL UNITED, they shared the points with visiting RADFORD and four goals, all of which came in the second half. Jake Simmons put Birstall ahead two minutes after the interval, but Jean-Ruben Derosiers levelled nine minutes later. Lewis Dodd’s 75th minute goal which put the home side ahead for the second time in the game, lasted even less. Just one minute in fact before Conor Carter restored parity for the second time and ensured that the points would be shared.

Not so many goals at GRAHAM STREET PRIMS but the same result in their game against HOLBROOK SPORTS, the Brookies needing to restore some credibility to their game following their heavy midweek defeat. Paul Fisher gave them a 38th minute lead but Jake Woods levelled eight minutes into the second half and that was how it finished.

The game at Cropston Road between ANSTEY NOMADS and GREENWOOD MEADOWS was abandoned after 78 minuted due to thunder, lightning and torrential rain.
