Gedling Miners Welfare visit Wollaton in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup on Saturday hoping to return back to winning ways after a mixed start to the season, 2pm kick off.

They make the short journey after two defeats in a week having lost 1-0 at Selston, despite a gutsy performance, but suffered a shock on Saturday as they went down 2-0 against Borrowash Victoria, securing only their 2nd win of the league season, at Plains Road.

Wollaton, of the Nottinghamshire Senior League and hosting on a Saturday due a last minute rearrangement, host their higher levelled opponents sitting just below mid-table but come into the game having only lost 1 in 5 in all competitions after a poor start to their campaign.

They will be hoping for improved fortune after their performance last year in the cup as they failed to make it past the first round having lost 2-1 at Retford. The visitors made it to the third round of the competition after beating Southwell City and Selston at Plains Road before falling away at now-EMCL opponents Clipstone 5-4 in December.
