Glapwell will be looking to build on a solid start to the season when they host Appleby Frodingham at Hall Corner this Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

Tuesday night's draw at Ollerton saw Glapwell rise to third after picking up seven points from their opening four league matches.

That one point could well have been all three but there are still positives to take from the game with some fine individual performances.

Glapwell now have the chance to maintain their place in the top places of the table with back-to-back home games over the Bank Holiday weekend against Appleby, and then Bilsthorpe on Monday.

Appleby come into the game in ninth place with one win, one draw and one defeat from their first three league matches.

They opened up with a good 2-2 draw at Bilsthorpe which was followed by a 3-1 home win over Brodsworth but last weekend they were narrowly beaten 3-2 at Harworth.

This is their first season back in the Central Midlands League after a few seasons in the NCEL where they struggled somewhat before being relegated last season.

Admission prices £3 Adults, £2 Concessions.
