As has been the case on more than occasion this season, Glapwell failed to build on a good performance and result the week before by falling to defeat.
Usually, though, they bounce back from one of those with another good performance and result and hopefully that will be the case again this weekend.
Glapwell now have six games (five at home, one away) remaining this season and they currently sit 12th but will still have hopes of a top ten finish.
On the other hand, Askern come into the game third bottom of the table with 23 points from their 28 games; having won only four league games this campaign.
They are without a win in seven games since a 4-0 success over Harworth back in February although they have achieved creditable draws with Ollerton and Thorne in that time.
In the earlier meeting of the sides at Manor Way in October, Glapwell turned the game around with Jake Wharton and Ross Murcott goals giving them a 2-1 victory.
