Match report from Saturday's 6-1 victory over Bentley Colliery.

Glapwell returned to winning ways in style as they recorded their first win in five league games with a 6-1 victory over Bentley Colliery at Hall Corner.
Having taken only two points from their previous four league games, Glapwell returned to winning ways with a fine performance in which the final result could have been even greater.
They made two changes to their side from the narrow defeat at Westella VIP the week previous with Lee Naughton and Josh Thomas returning to the starting line-up in place of Sam Bartram and the suspended Jonathan Heston while there was a return to the bench for Jake Wharton.
Glapwell had the first chance of the game on 11 minutes when a cross from the right was only cleared as far as Gavin Wiley whose effort from the edge of the area was just inches past the post.
They played some good stuff, though, in the opening stages although, for their part, so did Bentley who lacked any real execution in the final third.
Glapwell broke the deadlock, though, on 21 minutes when Sam Rhodes’ through ball saw Josh Thomas round keeper Mike Teale before tapping home for his second goal in two appearances.
The goal really should have settled Glapwell down and allowed them to play with more freedom but they didn’t always have things their own way although chances-wise it was mainly all Glapwell with the only thing missing another goal to give them a more comfortable cushion.
They had chance for that second goal on 38 minutes when a ball up the left touchline was ran on to by Josh Thomas who cut inside and laid the ball off to Gavin Wiley but he sliced his effort wide again from the edge of the area.
Callum Dovison then retrieved a pass in the middle of the field and running from just inside his own half he carved a chance out for himself by bursting into the area, rounding keeper Mike Teale but from an increasingly tight angle he fired his shot wide of the near post.
The visitors were dealt a blow at the end of the first half when their keeper Mike Teale was forced off injured and Glapwell had the chance to double their lead right on the stroke of the half-time interval when Lee Naughton’s cross from the left was met by Gavin Wiley at the back post who again failed to hit the target as he volleyed over the bar.
After the break, Glapwell would have been looking to kill the game off to avoid any second half pressure and they certainly did that with three goals in six minutes at the start of the second period.
The lead should have been doubled on 47 minutes when Dovison played a great ball to Daniel Russell but his effort was palmed away by replacement Bentley keeper Chris Scott.
On 49 minutes, though, Glapwell did extend their lead when Russell headed home from Lee Naughton’s corner from the right.
Glapwell then made a sub as Daniel Keenan replaced Josh Thomas for his debut and he made an instant impact by scoring only three minutes after his introduction.
Another good ball through by Sam Rhodes found Keenan in space and his shot from just outside the area squeezed through the body of Chris Scott and into the net.
At this stage, Glapwell were creating chances almost at will and Keenan could have added his second, and Glapwell’s fourth, only moments later when he found space again but this time his effort was kept out by Scott.
Glapwell didn’t have to wait too much longer, though, for their fourth as Sam Rhodes curled a free-kick into the corner from 25 yards to put the game out of sight.
They were certainly a lot livelier after the break and had a chance again to extend their lead on the hour when Bentley failed to clear the ball bouncing around in their area and the ball fell to Josh Clayton whose effort was well saved by visiting keeper Chris Scott.
On 66 minutes, Glapwell went five goals in front when Sam Rhodes played the ball in to substitute Steven Mansell who beat a man before playing in Daniel Keenan who took a good first touch before dinking the ball brilliantly into the far corner from just outside the area.
The chances continued to come for Glapwell as Jake Wharton put a great delivery in from the left but Mansell could only head straight at Chris Scott in the middle but the visitors pulled a goal back shortly afterwards.
A good move was played down the right and the ball eventually fell to Elija Takrem Shah who curled an effort brilliantly into the top corner which was too good for Ryan Hopkins despite getting fingertips to it.
With 15 minutes to go, though, Glapwell really should have added their sixth and Keenan should have had his hat-trick as he had four chances in one, the first two being saved by Chris Scott, the third hitting a defender on the line before he somehow dragged his fourth, and arguably easiest, wide of the post from a couple of yards out.
Keenan this time turned provider but Glapwell were unable to add the finish as his cross from the left was headed back into the middle by Daniel Russell to Steven Mansell but he fired his effort high over the bar from 12 yards.
With seven minutes remaining, Keenan again had the chance to complete a hat-trick when played in by Rhodes but he attempted to repeat his dinked second effort but got too much on it as it cleared the post.
But this time Keenan was to provide the assist as with four minutes remaining his cross from the right was met by Steven Mansell whose powerful header found the corner to add Glapwell’s sixth of the afternoon.
Before the end, Ryan Hopkins, who had been relatively untroubled all afternoon, produced a brilliant save to deny Takrem Shah who found space inside the area.
A good return to winning ways, though, for Glapwell who climb back above Ollerton into seventh place in the table and still looking good for a top six finish with ten league games remaining.
This Saturday they are on the road with a trip to Brodsworth Welfare, kick-off 3pm.
