Gavin Thurkettle's injury time winner made it a miserable Easter weekend for Glapwell as they fell to a 3-2 defeat at Easington United.

Glapwell travelled with a depleted squad but performed admirably, twice taking the lead and playing more than half the game with ten men following Tom Robley's sending off.

Jordan Hall fired Glapwell in front in the first period before Robley saw red soon after.

Easington levelled just after the break but Jake Wharton headed Glapwell back in front just after the hour.

But the home side won it through two Thurkettle goals, the first of which took a big deflection before the injury time winner which included a suspicion of handball.

The defeat was extremely harsh on Glapwell who now travel to Sherwood Colliery on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

Full match report and photos to follow.

*Massive credit to the players that showed great commitment to both of the Easter weekend matches, travelling 260 odd miles in the space of three days over an Easter weekend at this level of football is a tremendous commitment.
