Glapwell will be looking to shrug off back-to-back cup defeats when they return to league action with a trip to Welbeck Welfare this Saturday, KO 2pm.

This will be Glapwell's first league in four weeks and they will be eager to return to league matters where they have been impressive recently after bowing out of both cups in the space of a fortnight.

Firstly, a much-changed Glapwell side crashed out of the Derbyshire Senior Cup to Swanwick Pentrich Road while they were narrowly beaten in the League Cup at Pinxton last weekend.

In the league, though, it is four victories on the bounce and five wins from six unbeaten matches stretching back to the end of August.

They are currently fifth in the table with 26 points from their opening 12 matches and they remain only four points behind leaders Clay Cross Town, with a game in hand.

Welbeck are bottom of the table with three points from their first 12 matches, picked up from a victory over Easington United back in September.

Last weekend, though, they went down to a narrow 2-1 defeat at Harworth Colliery having taken an early lead so no complacency can be shown.
