Presentation evening 2012
Glapwell FC’s end of season presentation evening took place on Saturday night and below is a breakdown of all the winners…
Chairman Phil Davies gave a speech thanking everybody for their help and efforts during what has been a difficult season for the club on and off the field.
Manager Jason Truscott gave Ross Murcott his Player of the Season award. The ‘Player’s Player of the Season’ award went to Michael Smy while Ross Murcott also won the ‘Supporters Player of the Season’ award.
The ‘Most Improved Player’ was won by Tim Grundy.
There were also special awards given to Celia Barnett who has been a great servant to the club over many years and again this season did the players/officials’ post-match food which is recognised as one of the best locally.
Des Harper was also recognised for another season of fantastic loyal support to the club as was Colin Pearce while there was also awards for Glyn Evans who kindly volunteered to wash the kit and Dave Orwin who has again supported the club through thick and thin and has, this season, done a terrific job as kit man for the club.
Jason Truscott received an award for all the hard work he has put in to the club over the last few months as did Brian Holland.
