NEW SEASON FIXTURES OUT AND NEW SIGNINGS ANNOUNCED

Glasshoughton Welfare have revealed a number of new signings, as well as the rest of their retained list.

Young Hemsworth defender Josh Bucknall, plus Pontefract Collieries u21s player Tom Coyles, former Nostell winger Fidel Mhlolo, Sam Pashley (ex-Liversedge/Nostell) and Jake Thomson have signed for Welfare.

Andy McManus and Ryan Poskitt were announced earlier as retained players. They are joined by goalkeeper Jordan Bradshaw, Conor Glavin, Adam Walsh, Blaine Kellett, Gaz Hunter, Ashley Scothern, Andy Horbury, Callum Harrison, Sam Varley, Josh Morley, Alex Marsh.

Lee Vigars and Darren Holmes have confirmed that they are still looking to bring in a further three or four players.

Unfortunately last years top scorer Nathan Keightley has moved onto Penistone Church and Adam Hayton joins Hemsworth M.W. whilst Olly Maude has gone to Garforth Town.

Meanwhile the NCEL fixtures have been announced and welfare start their season away at Selby Town on Saturday 5th of August.

The first home game at the newly sponsored TJs Travel Arena is on Tuesday 8th August when Worsborough Bridge are the visitors. This is followed by three away fixtures at Eccleshill United, Shirebrook Town, and Dronfield Town.

In the preliminary round of the FA Vase welfare have been drawn away at Widnes Town and the tie will be played at the home of Widnes Vikings Rugby League club on Saturday 9th September.
