LOTS to Get Involved in at GRFC

4 months ago By Sheila Beare

Including a visit from a Scottish International Player!

If you're feeling bored with summer we have lots to keep you occupied over the coming weeks in the work up to the ever looming season ahead. If you've already involved at the club, or have wondered about what rugby or the club might be like, there are lots of opportunities to come along and check it out:

29/7 - We have a display happening at Markinch Fayre with some fun rugby activities - get along with your friends

11/8 - RUGBY FORCE DAY - this year we have opted to paint the clubhouse. We also have been one of the few clubs in Scotland to secure a visit from a Scottish International Player!! (Watch this site for updates on who it will be). The day kicks off at 12.30 pm with painting activities and time with the player. There will be a BBQ too, and this is then followed by the seniors pre-season friendly against Barnton RFC.

18/8 - PRE-SEASON BBQ - as you may know this year we didn't do an End of Season BBQ and have opted to do a Pre-season BBQ. Apart from the BBQ itself it will involve fun rugby and non-rugby activities for youth and kids (maybe for adults too!?) and then followed by the seniors last pre-season friendly against Portobello RFC. Bring your chair along and enjoy the day! Hopefully the weather will be kind to us.

25/8 - 1XV SEASON BEGINS - Shield Match away to Dunfermline RFC KO 3.00 pm

Please also see Youth Summer newsletter for updates of when training recommences.

Come along - try (excuse the pun) - support!!
