Presentation of Annual Awards

6 months ago By Duncan Simpson

The club has decided to try something a little different for this year's end of season awards - read on...

As the end of season comes closer, we are now planning for our end of season event when our young players are presented with their annual awards. After taking into account comments from coaches and parents, we have decided to try something different this year, and we are looking for your support.

There will be no end-of-season barbecue this year, but instead we are planning to hold our barbecue at the start of the new season in August - more details about this will follow at a later date.

For our end of season event this year we will be holding a PRESENTATION EVENING & BUFFET in the Function Suite at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes on Friday 1st June 2018 from 7.00pm till 11.00pm. There'll be a whole lot of fun and games, speeches, a buffet meal, and of course presentations.

Every youth, mini and micro player who has paid their membership and who has played for us this season will receive a presentation for their hard work and loyalty. In addition, there are four trophies in each age group which will be awarded on the night:
- The Player of the Year
- The Players' Player of the year
- The Most Improved Player
- The Best Newcomer Award

We'd like to ask the winners of last season's trophies to return them to the club as per agreement by 13th May - thanks.

We really want this to be a family occasion so we'd like parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters even if they have nothing to do with rugby to come along on the night and support the presentations. We'd also be delighted to see coaches, senior players, committee members and just about anybody really! Tickets are priced at just £5.00 each regardless of age or whether you play or don't, and these will be on sale from 1st May at the club and from coordinators.

Please put this date in your diaries now and make sure you get your tickets soon!
