Glossop U9 Piranhas 0 3D Dynamos U9 A 6

A very inexperienced Piranhas’ side were no match for their opponents as 3D Dynamos dominated the game from the kick-off. 3D Dynamos hit the woodwork three times and twice missed when it was easier to score in the first ten minutes. Eventually their pressure told as they scored two goals before half-time.

Only fine goalkeeping from Jack Walton, including one brilliant double-save, kept the score down. The pattern of the first half was repeated in the second half as the Piranhas struggled to get out of their own half. Jack Morris made a series of valiant tackles in defence while Alex Friend showed brief glimpse of composure on the ball.

The Piranhas never gave up but they continued to ship goals regularly as 3D Dynamos scored four more in the second half. The last was most cruel as it resulted from the Piranhas’ only corner. The Piranhas were left to reflect on their failure to string two passes together and did not have a single shot on target.
