As a lasting tribute to his memory, Glossop NE Juniors has commissioned the 'Andy Clayton Memorial Trophy'. This Award will be presented annually at our Under 15's Boys age group to the Player of the Season, chosen by the parents of that squad. Andy was always vehement in his opinion that "the parents should give an award, as well as the Manager's".

We hope that by now having this Award, that Andy's wish for recognition of our players by our parents, is now granted.

The Club has decided that the inaugural winner of the Award is Reece Clayton, Andy's son. Reece remained 100% committed to football and Glossop NE Juniors during training sessions and games, in particular earlier this Year, even when his Dad was extremely ill. We are certain that Andy will be delighted to know Reece is the initial worthy winner of this Award.
