The Sharks' second half performance is not quite enough to secure a draw.

The Sharks started brightly when the Marple keeper tipped an Oliver Stonehouse drive on to the bar. Oliver Parker was extremely composed in defence as he cut out a Marple attack. Oliver Stonehouse and Joe Henniker combined well but Marple’s defence refused to buckle. A move involving Joe Henniker, Charlie Davies, Oliver Stonehouse and Freddie Rimmer but again it fizzled out.
Josh Ward produced a brilliant save to keep out an excellent free kick. Nevertheless, the Sharks did concede just before halftime. Glossop responded well when Joe Henniker and Freddie Rimmer combined to force a corner. Kieran Coggin was off-target with a header and then hit a long-range shot wide. Charlie Davies put in Joe Henniker who forced the keeper to make a great save.
The Sharks eventually equalised when Charlie Davies volleyed home following shots by Joe Henniker and Freddie Rimmer. Marple quickly restored their advantage when they scored again despite Josh Ward’s best efforts. Oliver Parker defended a two on one brilliantly and produced yet more assured defending to keep the Sharks in the game.
Josh Ward went up for a corner to attempt to snatch a very late equaliser. He then had to run the length of the pitch as Marple broke out of defence before managing to keep the ball out of the net when facing a one on one with a Marple attacker.
