The Sharks started the game in fine fettle. Oliver Parker slid a pass to Will Valentine whose shot was saved. Kieran Coggin headed the resultant corner over the bar. Glossop North End took the lead when Kieran Coggin volleyed the ball into the top corner of the net from the left wing.
The Sharks maintained their dominance with Oliver Stonehouse’s composed play putting Will Valentine through while Max Fitzgerald released Oliver Stonehouse. The Sharks were only kept at bay by a combination of good defending and poor finishing. The Dynamos attempts to get on level terms were stymied by Josh Ward combined with good blocks by Oliver Parker and Teddy Fantom.
Freddy Rimmer was to the fore at the start of the second half. He linked up with Oliver Stonehouse on a couple of occasions. Decisive goalkeeping stopped the Sharks extending their lead. 3D only just prevented the Sharks from scoring again after Max Fitzgerald, Kieran Coggin and Oliver Stonehouse linked well. Will Valentine was denied once more.
The Sharks were lucky when the Dynamos missed an open goal after Josh Ward saved at a forward’s feet. After that escape, 3D’s keeper was busy as shots rained in from Freddy Rimmer, Oliver Stonehouse and Max Fitzgerald. 3D did hit the post and Oliver Parker defended well to ensure the Dynamos did not equalise. The game ended as it finished with Max Fitzgerald shooting after good work by Joe Henniker.
