In 1953 All Blues reached NGC Senior & Junior Cup Finals with the 1st XV losing to Gordon League 3 nil and the Blues 2nds winning 6pts to 3pts against Coney Hill 2nds. Notably in both finals playing Hooker is Henry Hiam the Father of current President "Stack" Hiam and Grandfather to Club Captain Simon "Little Stack" Hiam.

Also long serving Blues committee men Dennis Taylor played back row against Gordon League and Peter Arkell on the wing for the "A" Team.
