An open letter from the Barkers
A THANK YOU TO GPR FOR THE CHARITY WALK IN AID OF MATTHIAS BARKER U10
Dear GPR
We shall be flying out to America on 5th November. This is a huge milestone in our journey to mend Matthias. The journey has been a roller coaster from sadness, dismay, despair and exhaustion to sometimes relief, excitement and even the occasional laughter!
Our journey has been made easier by the love and support shown by all our friends and the response to fund raising has truly left Tony and I overwhelmed and speechless. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to say to you all. The roller coaster of emotions has hit us hardest with regards to the fund raising and we are completely moved with everything that you have done for us. You have been incredible in your kindness and generosity to us and we will be eternally grateful to you as you have enabled us to be together as a family over Christmas for the next 8-10 weeks through a troubling time..... THANK YOU.
We will be giving updates on Matthias’ progress and look forward to seeing you all in January with our mended boy, he cannot wait to get back out on that pitch!
