New Players Welcome
All new (and old returning) players welcome. Contact Doug Oliver on 07739049131 or feel free to turn up at a training session. We train every Sunday 10.30 to 12.00 (unless we have a match) and every Thursday 18.00 to 19.00. Until further notice, at the lads' request we are also doing Tuesdays 18.30 to 19.30.
Congratulations on last season! The only teams to beat us with a first choice side out are Pocklington and York. These are two of the best sides in Yorkshire - York won the u16 Yorkshire cup. We also lost to Grimsby with only 13 available players and Hull Ionians in similar circumstances.
Since Christmas we have had eight straight wins, completing the double against Selby, avenging the Grimsby loss 51-0, defeating Barnsley in horrendous conditions 5-35 and beating a well fancied Dinnington side convincingly.
As a coach, the hugely encouraging fact is that the gap between 'first' choice and other players continues to close at an accelerating rate.
These achievements are down to the commitment of the lads turning up every week and bringing new players with them.
I hope the lads are excited as I am at prospect of u17 colts.
