Goole U9's entertained Pocklington and Hornsea on Sunday at home and both matches were hard fought affairs. Goole tackled well and attacked as a team which was good to see as it shows their progression in their first season of full contact rugby. They are playing well together and the team seems to be gelling into an excellent rugby side.

Alex Deeks was awarded the player of the day for a very good performance against Hornsea. One tackle in particular was singled out as he timed it to perfection and prevented a certain try.

Goole have no match next week but in two weeks time they travel to Hull Ionians where it is hoped that they will have another productive day.
