SELBY RUFC 2015 RUGBY FESTIVAL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND SUPPORTERS

Thank you for supporting our 2014 mini rugby festival on Sunday 19th April 2015. We hope that this information is of use to you and will help make your visit an enjoyable one.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS
Address: Sandhill Lane, Selby, North Yorkshire, Y08 4JP
For ease of travel please use the A63 (Selby Bypass)/A1238 Leeds Road. Selby Town Centre can be problematic. Please be aware; some Sat Navs will direct you via the A19/Foxhill Lane/Brackenhill Lane, this is not an advisable route as both Foxhill Lane and Brackenhill Lane are minor country roads that will lead to a train crossing before reaching the club.

ON ARRIVAL

 Cars will be directed to a designated parking area next to the Rugby ground. There is an entry fee of £4 per car which includes one festival programme. Additional programmes can be purchased for £1 each.

 Our neighbours in Sandhill Lane are aware of the festival and we have asked the North Yorks. Police to place no parking cones along Sandhill Lane. Please respect these as we want our club to be seen as good neighbours

 Disabled parking will be available. Anyone wishing to use this facility should make that known to the car park attendants immediately upon arrival.

PLAYER WELFARE

 Only players, coaches and authorised persons are allowed in the changing rooms (please do not use as a cut through).

 Please note that both team and action photographs will be taken throughout the festival and team photographs will be available to purchase on the day. Photographs may also be printed in the local newspaper and posted on their website.

Any teams/individuals who do not wish to have their photographs taken must make this known on the team registration form and at the point of registration.

 Emergency first aid will be provided with St John Ambulance in attendance on site plus other trained first aiders available pitch side if necessary.

CODES OF CONDUCT

 Everybody attending the festival is expected to abide by the RFU Rules and Codes of Conduct.

 The organisers reserve the right to ask anyone who is considered to be behaving in an inappropriate way to leave the festival.

 Any behaviour falling below the standard expected by the rules and codes of conduct may be reported to the RFU.

 Referee and match official abuse WILL NOT BE TOLERATED under any circumstances and will result in the individual/team/Club being asked to leave the festival and WILL BE REPORTED TO THE YRFU for consideration of disciplinary action being taken.

 All pitches will be ‘roped off’ and only those authorised in accordance with regulations are allowed in the technical area. Please observe this requirement for the safety of all involved.

OTHER INFORMATION

 Refreshments will be available during the day in the clubhouse and BBQ. Cold drinks, teas and coffees are also available in the Cricket Pavilion.

 Toilets are available in the Clubhouse and additional toilets are available in the Cricket Pavilion.

 Please do not leave/drop litter - it becomes another job for the volunteers! Please use the litter bags that have been placed near pitches.

 Limited changing facilities are available in the clubhouse and will be allocated to clubs attending with the most players and/or travelling the furthest. Therefore, it is important that clubs ensure that adequate shelter is available for players to use as changing facilities if desired and for protection in the event of inclement/hot weather.

 Tents and Gazebos are recommended but must be erected away from the emergency access points and playing areas.

 In the interests of safety personal BBQs or other cooking equipment are not permitted on site.

 SRUFC is a ‘dogs free’ area. Please be aware that only recognised assistance dogs are allowed in any part of our grounds.
