Goole AFC eventually came out on top of this nine goal thriller despite being 3-1 down shortly after the break.
Simon Harrison opened the scoring for the Vikings on 6 minutes, a lead which lasted 12 minutes with Nathan Blissett equalising for Romulus on 18 minutes.
On 30 mins the visitors went ahead after the referee awarded a penalty for an alleged handball, which Wayne Dyer duly converted.
Goole AFC manager Karl Rose made a double substitution at half-time bringing on Vill Powell for Scott Ellis and Josh Cruise for Liam Wild.
Romulus went further ahead on 51 minutes through Jemiah Richards, just a minute later Vill Powell pulled a goal back for the Vikings, then in the space of 15 minutes Terry Barwick scored twice (55, 70) to put Goole AFC ahead.
Eight minutes later on 78 minutes, Nathan Blissett got his second of the game for Romulus but Goole AFC were not finished and Aaron Martin had the final word, scoring his 7th goal of the season on 83 minutes.
