Thanks to Tesco, East Riding Council and Hygieia Group, GTCC has a new area for families to sit and enjoy a day at the club....

Goole Town Cricket Club is pleased to announce that thanks to funding from Tesco Bags of Help and East Riding Council Commuted Sums its new Outdoor Family Area is now complete.

Hygieia Group http://hygieiagroup.co.uk/ have completed the works to extend the existing block paving area and surround the area with fencing that will protect visitors from any chilly winds that blow across the cricket field during the year. The club still has plans to install seating and tables in the area but the main part of the ground and fence work is now complete. Photo's of the area are on show on this website http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/gooletowncricketclub/photos/gtcc-new-family-area-2017-778378.html. We would like encourage you all to come along to the club and have a look at the difference that it has made.

The club wishes to thank Hygieia for its professional work in making the clubs idea come to life and Tesco/East Riding Council Commuted Sums for providing the means to fund the works.

Tesco Bags of Life scheme provides funding raised by the carrier bag charge at Tesco stores and is being used for grants to improve local parks, hold community events, support sports groups and more. - See https://www.groundwork.org.uk/Sites/tescocommunityscheme for more details.

East Riding Council Commuted Sums scheme uses commuted sums that are generated in lieu of outdoor play space which developers are unable to provide within new housing developments. The commuted sum is then used to enhance existing or provide new sporting or recreational facilities within the area in which it was generated.
