1st XI vs Pickering
Goole Town 1st XI returned to the relegation zone after they came out second best at home to Pickering. An unbeaten 52 from Isaac Christopher and 39 from Colin Frank helped the visitors reach 220-8 despite three wickets a piece from Richard Mann (3-55) and Ben Lamb (3-36). Ashton Nottingham’s 43 was the highlight of the hosts’ response which had reached 150-8 by the close.

2nd XI vs Drax
Drax’s batsmen struggled when they took first knock against Goole Town 2s and were all out for 108. The chief destroyer was Jakey Kennedy who took 6-40 in his 12 over stint. He was well supported by Guy Richardson with 3 for 11. Goole then made an abysmal start as they slipped to 12 for 4 with Kelvin Brook claiming 3-18. Salvation came from Louis Sugden who masterminded the recovery with an undefeated 63 in a winning score of 109-5

Sat 10th June
The 1st XI travel to Driffield to face Driffield 2s who are sitting mid-table not too far above Goole in the Premier Division. Driffield lost on Saturday to Beverley and Goole will look to capitalise on this and drag them into the relegation battle.

The 2nds are at home to Whitkirk who were much the better side when they entertained Londesborough Park and emerged as 127 run victors. Goole are presently in 4th place in Div 3 and will look to push on after an improvement in form over recent weeks.

Goole Academy play Eastrington at home on Sunday and will hopefully build on the recent wins against Gilberdyke and Driffield. A win could take the youngsters to the top of the Sunday Division which would bode well for the rest of the season.
