Gorleston held their end of season presentation night in the Clubhouse on Friday night.

The well-attended event was opened by Chairman Alan Gordon, who gave thanks to everybody who volunteers their help at the club from gatemen John and Bob right through to secretary Colin Bray.

He also gave a special thanks to outgoing manager Richard Daniels, stating what a great job Lugsy had done in getting a good squad together over the summer.

After apologising on behalf of President Kevin Antcliffe, who was unable to attend, Alan presented the Presidents Shield to stalwart and barman Kenny Philpott. Kenny thanked everybody and, in particular, his wife for letting him out!

Next up was Chris Duffy for the Under 18s. Duffy gave credit to the squad who had come through a particularly traumatic season.

Duffy announced the supporters, managers and players player of the season awards which all went to one player, Liam Brown.

Duffy now leaves the club to go and do a Masters Degree and everybody at the club wishes him luck with that.

Reserve team manager Elliott Hannant with Kevin Webb were next up. Again, one player won all three of their awards with Conna Harris claiming the hat trick.

Both Elliott and Kevin are stepping down from their roles and were given tokens of thanks from the players.

Finally it was the turn of Assistant Manager Eddie Thompson who put on record his thanks to Richard Daniels, stating he had no doubt that without Lugsy's Yellow Pages of a Contacts Book the Greens would almost certainly have been relegated this season.

He also read out a message from Daniels which said how proud he was to have been involved with the Greens as both player and manager.

Keegan Middleton had already been presented with the supporters player of the season.

Thompson then presented the Managers player of the season to Kyle Howell.

Players player of the season went to captain Chris Sandford who was unable to attend so Bradley Hough accepted the trophy on his behalf.
