Hi all, hope you are getting ready for the new season, which is not very far away

Just a word on 2 departures from the Greens this week.Sadly we have had to say goodbye to Dominic Varle,Dom has been a very important cog in the wheel of our success,an excellent physio,he has helped us with many injuries, his attitude and personality will be sadly missed,a gentleman, sometimes to much of a gent in the dugout, but i'd like to pass on my thank you's to Dom,and hope everything works out for him with his new teaching job,i'm sure all at the club wish Dom all the very best,Good Luck Mate. Onto a departure on the playing front, and it's with a heavy heart i have to announce Mitch Forbe's move to Gt.Yarmouth,Mitch has been an excellent member of the promotion winning squad,a goalscorer with a great attitude, injuries robbed us of Mitch at important stages of the the last 2 season's,he feels as though it's time to return to Yarmouth, again we wish him all the very best and apart from the 2 derby games,we hope it works out for him.2 other players have moved on in the last fortnight,Paul Atkin's is apparently playing for Sherringham, under the guidance of Bruce Cunningham and Justin Fox and James Pipe has also had his registration cancelled with the Greens,we wish both players all the very best with there new clubs. We have obviously as a management team learnt from the last 2 season's,this time last season 67 players were signed on for Gorleston,at this present moment we sit on 39,as printed in the Lowestoft Journal last week,Kirkley said we had been on a spending spree,i can't recall a single penny being spent on a player coming in,some spree that.I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish ex Green CHRIS 'HENDO' HENDERSON all the very best at Lowestoft Town,an excellent signing by Craig Fleming,a class act, quick feet,an eye for goal and a genuine hard working lad, superb footballing brain, deserves this move, again i'm sure all at Gorleston with me, would wish Chris every success and of course play at an even higher level with Lowestoft that his skills deserve.Just a brief word on Monday's away win at Long Melford, another good work out for some,we won the game 1.0,Bradley Hough the scorer,we again missed another penalty,Scott Woodgate this time, going way back into last season was our last successful penalty,Cocker's i believe got that one at Diss. Many players are now starting to come to the party, competition is good,we also gave Kyle Ingram another 30 minutes of 1st team action, this lad has got a huge future in the game, brilliant attitude and will be knocking on the 1st team door this season no problem. We have a double header this weekend vs Woodbridge Athletic, starting with a 1.30ko,both teams will be a mixture, but Woodbridge are a very good club, with a very good 1st team, both games will be competitive and probably our last look before we narrow the squad down.Gaffa
