The three main sports users of the Asterdale site in Spondon, the Anchor Bowmen Archery Club, Graham Street Prims Football Club and Leesbrook Rugby Club, have been in detailed discussions alongside The Football Association, The Rugby Football Union, Archery UK, Derby City Council Leisure Services and Sport England, resulting in the formal set up of an association of the clubs.

The successful outcome of these discussions is that the “Spondon Sports Association” has now been formed.

The primary objective of the Association is to secure the future of sport on the Asterdale site and to maintain and enhance the future of the individual clubs, providing sporting activities within the Spondon area.
