Radcliffe match report
Prims travelled to Nottingham to face Radcliffe Olympic. The weather in the few days before and with a downpour before kick off made the pitch very heavy.
Both teams however did try and play football. Radcliffe were dominant in the first twenty minutes but rarely tested Binks in the Prims goal. However Groves cleared two headers off the Prims goal line following two corners
Kurt Dallison thought he had given Prims the lead but Lee Sutton was deemed to be blocking the goalkeepers view and it was ruled out for offside. Radcliffe did take the lead on 30 minutes when poor Prims defending let Motson score.
Radcliffe looked more likely to score in the remaining minutes of the first half.
The second half Prims were more on the front foot and look more likely to get an equaliser with Jack Tyson giving the Radcliffe defenders the run around. Prims nearly equalised when Jack Gorbett shot was heading into the top corner but was denied by an excellent save from the home keeper.
Prims then had their second goal disallowed when Sutton put in a cross to see the home defender slice the ball into his own net only for the officials to give an offside decision.
The game ended with Prims pressing for the equaliser left spaces for Radcliffe to exploit but nothing came of any attacks they had.
A special mention must go to Jack Gorbett who has made the step up from Spondon Dynamo Prims under 18 and put in an excellent performance
