Prims travelled to Dunkirk following their defeat to Holbrook the week earlier. Dunkirk had the best of the first half and Andy Fretwell in the Prims goal kept them out with some fine saves, Prims were restricted to half chances and not troubling the Dunkirk keeper.
The game came to life in the 42nd minute when Dunkirk opened the scoring when Chaplin made some space in the box to fire Dunkirk in to the lead. This lead did not last long when Kev Morrow got the better of his marker and crossed the ball for Jordan Sanders to score at the far post.
Half time 1-1
Prims started the second half with belief and created chances straight away with Kurt Dallison breaking clear and shooting past the keeper only for the ball to hit the post and go to safety. In the 54th minute Prims took the lead when Ash Griffiths broke clear and put the ball past the oncoming keeper. Prims continued to press but were unable to add to their goal tally. But they defended well and restricted Dunkirk to long range shots and their frustration was starting to show.
In the 87th minute Prims settled any nerves when Joel Isaac scored from 10 yards out, however that wasn’t the end of the goals as in the 92nd minute Dallison broke clear and scored when on many occasions this season he has missed.
