Prims entertained Arnold Town hoping for a similar result to what they achieved two weeks ago at Eagle Valley. However, with Andy Fretwell unavailable and other keepers working coach Ben Greatorex donned the gloves between the posts.
Prims hoping to maintain their good run started brightly with Brad Scard shooting wide from 20 yards. It wasn’t long before Prims took the lead through Scard. Matt Harris crossed from the right where Scard controlled the ball at the far post and hit his shot back across the goal into the net. Thirteen minutes later Prims made it two this time Scard fed Harris whose shot went under the keeper and just managed to cross the line.
Five minutes later Greatorex had his first test, he missed judge a cross from Arnold right but Looker hit it wide when it looked easier to score. Arnold were now on top for the first time in the game, in the thirty seventh minute Elliott Dawson gave away a free kick on the edge of the Prims penalty area, Binch hit the free kick into the wall and then Looker hit the rebound over. Prims has a chance through Harris but his shot hit the post in the fortieth minute. Arnold did have the last chance of the first half but Betteridge slammed his shot against the Prims crossbar.
Half time Prims 2 Arnold 0
The second half started and it was all Prims, in the fiftieth minute a corner was headed towards the bottom corner by Scard but Elliott in the Arnold goal got down well to push the ball away. A minute later and Prims made it three when Dom Wilkinson was put through he rounded the keeper and put the ball in the empty net. Two minutes after the third Prims were denied a penalty when Scard was clearly fouled in the penalty area only for the referee to play on.
In the fifty ninth minute it was four, Scard broke clear and with only the keeper to beat he squared the ball for Harris to score. Prims then made some substitutions bringing on Morrow, Dallison and Lynam. It was Morrow who set up the fifth when some good work from Dawson and Wilkinson set Morrow free down the left from him to cross for Scard to find the net. Twenty minutes left and Prims leading five nil, the question in the crowd was how many would they score today.
In the next ten minutes Morrow volleyed wide from a James Allen cross, a cross from Morrow found Dallison and his shot was blocked and a great run down the right from Wilkinson failed to find anyone when he put his cross in.
In the eighty third minute it was six when Dawson found Morrow on the right and his cross was poked in at the far post by Dallison.
Prims then finished with the best goal of the game with some excellent passing by Gwinnutt, Dallison and Morrow saw a cross to the far post where Lynam met with a volley that flew past Elliott in the Arnold goal.
Final score Prims 7 Arnold 0
