Tom Batchelor started in place of Rhys Lewis, but the rest of the side was unchanged from last week's defeat to Buxton.
The Gingebreads started brightly, and thought they were ahead within the first 5 minutes. Jordan Hempenstall crossed the ball over to Lee Shaw who headed home, however the Assistants flag was up, correctly, for offside.
On 73 minutes The Gingerbreads did take the lead. Lee Shaw found himself in space in the middle of the Ashton box and fired home.
The Gingerbreads were not to take all 3 points though as Ashton equalised on 81 minutes. Kieran Preston initially saved well from Nick Evangelinos, but the ball ended back at the Ashton strikers feet and this time he got the ball into the net.
Despite 4 minutes of added time, and Tom Batchelor going up-front, The Gingerbreads could not find a winner.
