The Gingerbreads lost 2-1 to Bamber Bridge in tonight's Integro League Cup Final.

Naming the same side as Saturday and Monday, Adam Stevens was also without Felipe Barcelos.

The Gingerbreads manager to soak up the early pressure from Bamber Bridge and got themselves into the match.

Stefan Galinski saw two chances go agonisingly wide. Lee Shaw cut the ball back across the goal line but no one could get on the end of it.

As the half entered the final moments, Bamber Bridge won a free kick on the edge of the box. Jamie Milligan stepped up and hit a free kick into the far corner.

With the hour almost gone, Bamber Bridge doubled their lead. The Gingerbreads could not clear their lines and Regan Linney fired home from 20 yard out.

Rhys Lewis and Curtis Burrows came on for Michael Hollingsworth and Luke Shaw.

On 63 minutes The Gingerbreads pulled one back. Lee Shaw chased the ball to the goal line and hooked the ball back. Danny Meadows dived forward and powered a header home from 12 yards.

With The Gingerbreads pushing forward, nothing was coming off. In the dying minutes Danny Meadows shot went just wide.

Congratulations to Bamber Bridge on their victory.

The Gingerbreads head to Blyth on Saturday for the final match of the season, and despite missing out on both the play offs and Integrity League Cup it's the end of a magnificent season.
