Grantham will be looking to return to winning ways when they entertain Workington at the Meres on Saturday.

Tuesday night saw the Gingerbreads fall to a 1-0 defeat away to Mickleover Sports, causing them to drop to 5th in the league table after seven games played.

Visitors Workington meanwhile come into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw with 2nd placed Warrington Town, leaving Saturday's opponents occupying 20th position in the league.

The Reds have also been in poor form recently, having not won in their last seven games in all competitions.

Grantham on the other hand have won four of their last seven games in all competitions. Furthermore, the Gingerbreads are yet to draw a game competitively this season.

Following on from Tuesday's disappointment, Grantham manager Adam Stevens says he wants to see a reaction from the Gingerbreads during Saturday's game: "Tuesday was a disappointment for all of us. I'm glad that Saturday's game has come round so quickly as it gives us a chance to make up for the performance on Tuesday. We want to make sure we play entertaining football but most importantly, we want to make sure that we get the three points and get back on track."

One piece of welcome news to Stevens is that striker Lee Shaw will be available following his suspension on Tuesday night. Defender Sam Purcicoe still remains a doubt however the rest of the squad is available to play.

The Gingerbread will not be open for supporters on Saturday due to it being used for a wedding. There will be an outside bar which will be situated in the same corner of the ground as the Gingerbread House. The turnstiles will be open earlier so to not miss out.
